Direct Mail is the best mailing list management and mail delivery software for Mac OS X.

Direct Mail has a nice interface and powerful mail delivery engine let you stay in touch with your contacts quickly and easily - without having to worry about the details of mail server configurations.

With Direct Mail you can manage your list of email contacts very easily.

Need to get a newsletter out to your database of subscribers? It`s easy:
1. Compose your message in Direct Mail`s fully-featured email editor. Styled, HTML, and plain-text emails are all supported - as well as inline images and attachments.
2. Enter the list of recipients. Email addresses can be entered by hand or by using Direct Mail`s powerful "Import Addresses" feature to grab email addresses from any type of file or MySQL databases. Importing from your Mac OS X Address Book is also a breeze.
3. Click the "Send Messages" button. Your message is delivered instantly to your list of recipients using Direct Mail`s powerful internal mail server. Direct Mail gives you the option of sending the messages directly to the recipient`s mail server, or routing them through your ISP`s SMTP server.

Here are some key features of "Direct Mail":

· Styled Email - Your messages aren`t limited to just plain text. Direct Mail supports as many fonts, colors and styles as you need. Add pictures or other attachments by simply dragging them into place. Tables and hyperlinks can be used for even more advanced designs. Go ahead, be creative!
· Hand-Crafted HTML - Want to use an existing web page as the body of your email? Or hand-craft your own HTML code? Direct Mail can do both! Live previews show you, in real time, what your message will look like once it`s sent.
· Previews - Preview what your message will look like, individually, to each recipient before you send it. Live previews update as you type.
· International Character Support - Send messages with international characters without worrying if the recipient will be able to read it. Direct Mail automatically picks the best character encoding for your message, ensuring your message stays readable.
· Mail-Merge Tags - Personalize your emails for each individual recipient by using simple mail-merge tags. Direct Mail supports the following tags: full name, first name, last name, email address, user, domain, 15 custom fields... and more!
· PHP Support - Simple mail-merge tags not powerful enough? With Direct Mail, you can embed PHP code directly into the body of your message that is executed when the message is sent. This allows for advanced mail-merging logic and a host of other possibilities.
· Junk Mail Scanner - Help your message make it past junk mail filters before it`s even sent. Direct Mail`s built-in junk mail scanner alerts you to possible issues with your message before you send it.
· Flexible Importing - Direct Mail makes it easy to bring in email addresses from numerous file formats, applications, and databases. Import addresses from: Apple Address Book, Apple Mail, CSV files, Microsoft Entourage, Microsoft Word, MySQL databases, text files...
· Automated Subscriber Groups - Automated subscriber groups let people add or remove themselves from your mailing list using their web browser.
· When you create an automated subscriber group, Direct Mail gives you the URL of a web page that others can use to subscribe to your mailing list. When they subscribe, their name and email address automatically appear in your Direct Mail address group. Managing your mailing lists couldn`t be easier.
· Inbox Scanning PRO - Inbox scanning takes the pain out of managing bounced emails, subscribe, and unsubscribe requests. Point Direct Mail at your POP3 server, and it will scan your incoming messages for bounced addresses, subscribe requests, or unsubscribe requests.
· Blacklists - Blacklists are an easy way to exclude email addresses from all future deliveries. After an email address is added to a blacklist, messages will never be delivered to that address.
· Multiple SMTP Account Support - Set up Direct Mail to send email from multiple email accounts (SMTP accounts). Switching between accounts is as easy as choosing your email address from a pop-up menu.
· Group Collaboration - Collaborating on mailing lists is easy! You can share address groups with other Direct Mail users. Subscribers to your group can add, delete, or edit addresses. Even better, changes made by one user show up on everyone`s screen in real time!
· e3 Delivery Service solves the two biggest problems in bulk email delivery: Most Internet Service Providers (ISPs) limit the number of emails their users can send over the course of one day. This makes it difficult to reach your entire mailing list when sending using the SMTP method. e3 Delivery Service handles delivery for you - with no daily limits!
· If you use Direct delivery (instead of SMTP), there is greater probability of your message being flagged as junk mail by the recipient`s mail server. e3 servers are dedicated to email delivery around the clock, which prevents your messages from being wrongly marked as junk.
· Lastly, e3 Delivery Service takes over the work of merging your message with email addresses, freeing up your computer to do other work. Deliveries now take seconds instead of minutes!
· Email Tracking - Take the guesswork out of your email campaigns. Here are just some of the statistics that Direct Mail can track after you`ve sent a message: Who opened your message (and how many times); Who clicked what links in your message (and how many times); Number of views or link clicks over time; Where the recipient was when he/she viewed the message ...and much more.
· Flexible Delivery Options - Direct Mail supports three different methods for delivering email to your mailing list: e3 Delivery Service - Our servers handle the merging and delivery process for you; SMTP - Like a regular email client, messages are sent through your ISP`s mail server; Direct - Messages are sent directly to the recipient, bypassing your ISP`s mail server.
· In addition, you can schedule deliveries to begin immediately or at the time of your choosing.

Limitations:

· Message delivery limited to 25 messages until registration.
