Rousseau is a numbered musical notation program accessible to anyone (but most useful for musicians) ! The seven-note keypad produces ordinary and numbered notation that appears on screen to the sound of an Italian harpsichord. Buttons allow for playback, key and octave change, accidentals and formatting. A left hand list of iReal b songs can can be imported as templates. Songs are saved as individual .irb files for easy import back into iReal b.

Numbered musical notation system was invented by Geneva-born philosopher and composer Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712-1778) who first presented it to the French Academy of Sciences in 1742. It is very similar to currently used Chinese simplified notation.
