TabKeys enables you to assign custom keyboard shortcuts to some common browser actions in Safari.
Here is a list with the available actions: opening a new tab, closing the active tab, refreshing the active tab, and switching to the next or previous tab.
For each action, you can assign up to three characters as shortcuts (including ones that you type in combination with the Shift or Option key). For example, you could assign lowercase “w”, uppercase “W”, and ç (Option+C) to Close Tab. Only character keys are supported, not special keys such as the arrow keys or key combinations involving the Command, Control/Ctrl, or Win keys.
Please note that TabKeys does not work on empty tabs or special tabs like Top Sites and Bookmarks. This is a limitation of Safari’s extension mechanism.
Requirements:
· Safari 5.0 or later

· There was a problem with the new Safari 5.1 beta such that when you pressed the hotkey to switch to the next or previous tab, Safari would keep switching to the next or previous tab in an endless loop. I think the fault is a bug in the Safari beta, but anyway this update includes a workaround for it. One slight drawback of the workaround is that a hotkey press will not register until you release the key, so Tabkeys may feel a little slower than before.
