TextMarker allows you to highlight text selections via keyboard and context menu. Also allows for the highlighted text to be copied individually or all. There are a bunch of highlighting colors that you can choose from.
Note: The TextMarker add-on is cross-platform and it works on Mac OS X, Windows and Linux.
