Hang-Man is a game played by 2 players. The 1st player enters a word that player 2 will try to guess. The data entry is masked so that the 2nd player cannot watch as the word is entered.
After the word is submitted the interface changes and a series of blanks, representing the characters in the word, are displayed and an input is available for player 2 to make guesses. Player 2 then guesses letters. 1 at a time, they think are in the word.
If a guess is correct the ‘_’ is replaced by the letter guessed in the appropriate position.
If a guess is incorrect the letter is displayed in a list of wrong guesses, the # of invalid guesses left is decreased and an image representing a man hanging from a noose is this way updated.
The hanging image progresses from having no man showing, to just a head, then a body, then arms and finally legs. NOTE: This is program has been released and can be used only under the terms of the Academic Free License.
